Discovery call

First we have a free 20-minute Discovery Session where I listen to your current health issues along with your vision for health and wellness. I will also tell you a little about my background and style, the role of a health coach (and what it is not), and how I can best help you achieve the changes you desire. We will determine if this is a good fit for you at this time.

Foundation Call

Great! You now understand the nutrition health coaching process and we are a good fit.  Next you will book a 90 minute Foundation Session through my website. I will send you intake forms to get you thinking about your goals, past success and previous roadblocks. This information will help me get to know you better before our first session. You will also receive a Zoom link for our session.

During our first session, we will lay the foundation for your vision of health and wellness.  We will dig into what has worked and what hasn't worked in the past.  Then we will gain clarity on what is standing in the way of achieving that vision, making goals and taking steps to get you there. I will support you, offering a non-judgmental space to explore what is under the surface to get you achieving your goals.

We do the work!

Congratulations on committing to yourself!  This is an investment in your biggest asset, your health and wellbeing.  

At the end of our Foundation session, we will   schedule our sessions, determining a length of session and frequency of meeting that will work for you.  

Next we get to roll up our sleeves and do the work. We will establish next steps (goals), consistently making progress, and learning about what works and doesn't work on your journey of growth.  Depending upon your goals, your health coaching in the USA typically takes 3 - 6 months to do the work that creates lasting lifestyle change.

Health Coaching and Functional Medicine

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is an evidence-based approach to health care that looks at the root cause of illness and treats the whole system, starting with modifiable lifestyle factors to create optimal health. lt explores the “why” behind disease, discomfort, or pain in a patient, rather than just looking at the symptoms. Functional Medicine doctors and practitioners use various tests coupled with a patient’s history, genetics, and environmental factors to get a better look at their long-term health.

What is a Functional Medicine Health Coach?

Health Coaches team up with their clients to identify what areas of their life that are missing or out of balance with the client’s vision of health and optimal wellness.  Next they will help sort out where and how to start on a path to a healthier version of yourself through health coaching in the USA. This includes nutrition, exercise, sleep, relationships, and stress management.  We will also utilize and work in alignment with your health care provider's recommendations.  

This is not about your lack of will-power or motivation; you need a guide to walk alongside you. We will uncover the barriers that are stopping you from achieving your health and wellness goals to live a healthier life. Together, we will highlight what is going well in your life rather than focusing on the problems.  Through this process we will identify and tap into your strengths and utilize them!

 

As your Functional Medicine health coach, I will ask the questions and listen deeply to your story.  My desire is to partner with you, to co-create through your personal self-discovery, what your health & wellness goals are, and uncover what it is that truly makes you feel alive.  I have sufficient tools, resources, and knowledge regarding nutrition health coaching to support you throughout your journey.
